  • 12/30/2005 - Wilma Joyce Richardson, age 57, of Modesto, who was sentenced to 5 years in prison.
  • 12/15/2005 - Jose Benito Salidivar, age 34, formerly of Modesto, who was convicted of "Participation in a Street Gang, Auto Theft, Receiving Stolen Property, Evading a Peace Officer, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Felon in Possession of Ammunition, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia," with special enhancements that alleged he committed the crimes for the benefit of a Criminal Street Gang.
  • 12/14/2005 - Nathan Lee Spratley, age 43, of Hughson, was convicted after a jury trial on December 9, 2005 of attempted grand theft.
  • 12/13/2005 - Assistant District Attorney Carol Shipley announced today that, after a 3-month investigation by the District Attorney's Office, the subject of an investigation was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County jail on charges of insurance fraud, arson and conspiracy.
  • 11/30/2005 - Lonnie Lamont Ashlock, Ronald B. Buhler, Wilma Sue Walls, have been charged with fourteen counts of fraud perpetrated against seven separate victims, with an additional charge of possession of methamphetamine against Ashlock only.
  • 11/30/2005 - Steven Louis Richards, age 39, a transient, was sentenced to 95 years to life in prison under California's "Three Strikes" law.
  • 11/22/2005 - , Luis Vargas, age 18, of Turlock, was arraigned on three felony counts of "Vehicular Manslaughter While Intoxicated" and three felony counts of "Hit and Run Causing Death."
  • 11/17/2005 - Tyson Michael Silva, age 31, of Hilmar, entered a guilty plea, to one count of grand theft in Stanislaus County Superior Court.
  • 11/15/2005 - Jaime Orozco, age 35, of Modesto was arraigned on two counts of attempted premeditated murder on two California Highway Patrol Officers, driving under the influence of a drug, and being under influence of a drug.
  • 10/18/2005 - Juvenal Gutierrez Oseguera, age 37, of Ceres, who was sentenced to 15 years to life on charges of felony sexual penetration by a foreign object and felony sodomy by force, and an additional enhancement of inflicting great bodily injury on the victim.
  • 10/12/2005 - Tyson Michael Silva, age 31, of Hilmar and Jose Manuel Silva,40, of Oakdale, have had felony criminal charges of grand theft filed against them.
  • 10/2005/2005 - Juan Mendiola, age 31, of Modesto, was denied a parole at a hearing held October 4th, 2005.
  • 09/20/2005 - Matthew Gooch, age 71, was found unsuitable for parole.
  • 09/19/2005 - Sheila Denise Smith-Williams, age 35, of Modesto, was convicted after a jury trial.
  • 09/15/2005 - John Johnson, of Modesto, was found guilty by a jury of first degree murder.
  • 09/15/2005 - Eva Faye Miller, age 41, of Salida, was sentenced to 365 days of jail with two years suspended prison term.
  • 09/08/2005 - John Cole, age 47, was found unsuitable for parole.
  • 09/08/2005 - David Smith, age 41, was found unsuitable for parole.
  • 08/26/2005 - Justin Bello, age 21, of Modesto, was arraigned on three counts of assault with a deadly weapon on three police officers.
  • 06/14/2005 - Luis Urena, age 34, of Modesto, was arrested on June 14th, 2005 on a warrant charging him with 36 counts of felony Insurance Fraud.
  • 06/09/2005 - Ronnie Lee Moody, age 33, was convicted of two counts of assaulting a police officer likely to produce great bodily injury, one count of attempted escape causing serious bodily injury and resisting an executive officer after a jury trial.
  • 06/08/2005 - The Stanislaus County Board of Supervisors has approved the creation of a Real Estate Fraud Prosecution Trust Fund to be expended on programs to enhance the capacity of the District Attorney to deter, investigate and prosecute real estate fraud crimes.

  • 02/14/2005 - criminal complaint was filed today, Monday, February 14, against Shane Douglas Collins of Modesto alleging that he committed a felonious assault by means of force likely to cause great bodily injury against mail carrier Manjit Singh as well as enhancements alleging that this was a hate crime, and the personal infliction of great bodily injury.
  • 02/02/2005 - Adan Rangel has been arrested on felony charges alleging witness intimidation for the benefit of a street gang and criminal threats with enhancements that the crimes were committed for the benefit of a street gang.
