05/09/08 - John Mathew Ray, age 41, of Modesto, was convicted after a week-long jury trial that began on April 30, 2008. Deputy District Attorney Annette Rees prosecuted the case. 05/08/08 - Darrell Adams of Modesto was found unsuitable for parole at a hearing of the State Board of Prison Hearings at Solano State Prison on May 7, 2008. 05/07/08 - Pablo Lopez III, age 20, and Daniel Joseph Martinez, age 23, were convicted of murder following a 4 week jury trial that commenced April 8, 2008, in Stanislaus County Superior Court. 04/22/08 - Jermaine Dean, Tommy Nichols and Kevin Trice, were sentenced today to life in prison without parole. 04/17/08 - Jacob Daniel Franklin was arraigned on felony charges of Child Abuse Causing Death and Second Degree Murder. 04/14/08 - Santiago Martinez Larez, age 53, of Modesto, was sentenced to 19 years in prison after a jury convicted him on March 10, 2008. 04/14/08 - Kim Petersen Receives Governor’s 2008 Victim Advocacy Award. 04/14/08 - Birgit Fladager to Speak at Victim’s March. 04/14/08 - Victims’ Rights Week "Victims’ Rights & Resources" Day. 04/09/08 - JOHN CHARLES DOMINGUEZ, age 36, of Modesto, was convicted of second degree murder after a three week jury trial which ended on April 9. 04/02/08 - Ernest Barela, age 54, of Fowler, California was found unsuitable for parole at an April 2, 2008 hearing of the State Board of Prison Hearings. 03/26/08 - Jack Britt, age 44, was found unsuitable for parole at a March 19, 2008 hearing of the State Board of Prison Terms at Soledad State Prison. 03/26/08 - Martin Guillory, age 49, was found unsuitable for parole at a March 19, 2008, hearing of the State Board of Prison Terms at Soledad State Prison. 03/25/08 - Virtually every single resident of Stanislaus County has been affected in one way or another by the terrible plague of methamphetamine. 03/20/08 - Monadle N. Shama pled no contest in two counts of felony grand theft, one count of felony auto theft, and one count of felony identity theft. 03/18/08 - Jesus Mario Villarreal, age 32, of Modesto was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison by the Honorable Ricardo Cordova, following an emotional impact statement by the mother of the 10-year-old victim. 03/04/08 - Curtis Burton, age 45, a transient, was sentenced today to 4 years in state prison for selling a controlled substance, a felony. 02/29/08 - Jonathon McIntyre of Modesto was found unsuitable for parole at a February 26th, 2008 hearing of the State Board of Prison Terms held at the state prison in Soledad, California. 02/29/08 - John Loren Oropeza, 56, of Modesto, was sentenced on February 14, 2008 to serve 15 years in state prison. 02/25/08 - Promotion of Alan Cassidy to Chief Deputy District Attorney. 02/22/08 - Project SAFE Neighborhoods Effort Results in an Indictment for Firearms and Drug Trafficking Offenses. 02/21/08 - Veteran Stanislaus County Gang Prosecutor Cross-Designated as Federal Prosecutor to Target Gang Crime. 02/21/08 - Kelly O. Callahan, 46, was convicted of gross vehicular manslaughter, failing to appear on a felony while out on bail, using methamphetamine, and giving a false name to police officers 02/19/08 - Amanda Christine DaSilva, age 22, of Stevinson, was convicted February 13th of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor after she pled "No Contest". 02/11/08 - Gang Member De Anda Sentenced to Life Term. 02/11/08 - Patterson Rapist Convicted. 02/01/08 - Darren Lee of Modesto was found unsuitable for parole at a January 31, 2008 hearing of the State Board of Parole Hearings at Solano State Prison at Vacaville. 01/14/08 - Stanislaus County District Attorney Birgit Fladager announced today that Paul Michael Ruiz, age 33, of Modesto, was convicted by a jury of receiving a stolen car. 01/07/08 - Frank Ford of Modesto was found unsuitable for parole at a January 4, 2008 hearing of the State Board of Prison Terms at Solano State Prison in Vacaville.
