Federal, State and local law enforcement agencies, recognizing the new dangers and difficulties posed by high tech crime, have created a specialized task force to deal with the crimes. The main high tech crimes task force for the Central Valley is located in Sacramento.

A satellite task force was formed in 2001. This satellite is located in Turlock and houses law enforcement officers from local agencies. Officers located at the satellite office are able to do full forensic workups on computer equipment seized from criminals in our community. The ability to do these workups assists in quickly and efficiently bringing criminals to justice. The Office of the District Attorney participates in the task force and has assigned one full-time prosecutor.
